A Popular Restaurant Group in NC Is Filing for Bankruptcy

According to a new report by Wilmington Biz, a popular restaurant group in NC is filing for bankruptcy. According to the report, Indochine, a popular Asian fusion restaurant group in Wilmington, just recently filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy this week.

The owner, Solange “Niki” Thompson said that it’s “business as usual” at the establishments – but, the restaurants “need to be reorganized more efficiently“. According to the report, Indochine owes $2.4 million to North State Bank and $1.5 million to the SBA.

Thompson’s eateries Thai-Vietnamese restaurant Indochine at 7 Wayne Drive in Wilmington, Indochine Express locations in Wilmington, Leland, and Southport, and Cafe Chinois. Thompson opened Indochine in 2000.
