WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – Kieran Haile says he didn’t know much about his family’s history until a few years ago. “When I tried to look into this part of my background, I realized, I couldn’t find information on this background,” Haile said. “My own family felt hesitant to talk about it so I really had to like chase down stories.”
