MeMa’s Chick’n & Ribs
This popular Burgaw restaurant was planning an expansion in Pender County, but the pieces fell into place for them to open a permanent storefront at 8232 Market St. They officially opened Nov. 7.
Although they’ve been serving people through their food truck in recent months, owners Myra and James McDuffie said they’re excited that people can come into the restaurant for good comfort food. The former J. Michaels’ space has been renovated to look a bit like the original restaurant. There’s also a new mocktail and dessert station and player piano. The menu includes barbecue, ribs, smoked chicken, seafood plates, sides, sandwiches and salads.
