10 things to do in Wilmington this weekend include rocking out with roots-pop duo Fancy Gap

I saw a couple of great bands on New Year’s at Satellite (Lauds and Leslie Blowup Band), and here’s hoping the trend continues in 2025.

One band I’m excited about this week is Fancy Gap, a roots pop and rock duo out of Raleigh comprised of Stuart McLamb and Charles Crossingham; they’re playing at Bourgie Nights downtown on Jan. 11. Wilmington music heads may remember McLamb from his time with indie rockers The Love Language, who formed in Wilmington in 2008 before going on to sign with Durham’s Merge Records…
