North Myrtle Beach man burned furniture, other debris in front yard in separate fires during ban, warrant says

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — Firefighters put out separate fires Monday in the front yard of a North Myrtle Beach accused of violating a statewide burn ban initiated after wildfires broke out across the state over the weekend, reports show.

Jason Daniel Bingham, 50, was arrested Tuesday evening and charged with burning trash or other debris during an emergency ban. He posted a $1,000 bond and was released from the J. Reuben Long Detention Center on Wednesday.

According to an arrest warrant, North Myrtle Beach Fire Rescue first responded to Bingham’s home on Harrelson Avenue at 4:08 p.m. and found that he was burning furniture in his front yard. He was informed of the burn ban and the fire was extinguished…
