Two men charged after robbery of Eastwood Road business

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – The Wilmington Police Department (WPD) has arrested two men in connection to a business robbery around Eastwood Road.

According to WPD, two men entered the backdoor of the Suburban Studios Extended Stay on March 27 just before 6 a.m. They stole and cracked the safe, took money and robbed and assaulted the clerk with a blunt, sharp object. The two also destroyed surveillance cameras and left with stolen ice cream.

Officers received a call about two men trying to break into a toolbox behind Home Depot not long after. They found 38-year-old Dustin Wilburn, who had fallen near a retention pond, and 27-year-old Noah Hite. Hite ran from police, but they quickly captured him…
