OAK ISLAND, N.C. (WECT) – Applications are now available for the training academy for the Town of Oak Island’s Ocean Rescue and Beach Service Units.
The town is merging the two units to allow more services for beachgoers and reduce the number of vehicles driving on the beach.
“While Beach Services applications are now closed, we still have a few remaining positions to fill for the Ocean Rescue Unit. The ORU is a challenging, yet highly rewarding unit.
