Crews respond to house fire in Boiling Spring Lakes

BOILING SPRING LAKES, N.C. (WECT) – Crews with the Boiling Spring Lakes Fire Rescue (BSLFR) responded to a house fire Wednesday afternoon.

Just after 5 p.m., BSLFR responded to reports of a home on Barclay Road on fire. Chief 400 arrived first to see heavy smoke coming out of the exterior.

BSLFR says the chief geared up and made sure everyone was out of the home while a police officer used a fire extinguisher to help slow the spread of the fire.

“Engine 471 arrived shortly after and deployed an attack line. Mutual aid assistance began arriving and manpower was put to use checking for extension and assuring the fire was out,” BSLFR stated in a Facebook post…
