The Acting U.S. Attorney’s Office of the Eastern District of North Carolina has unveiled a series of events in honor of the National Crime Victims’ Rights Week. Slated for Sunday to next Saturday, these observances are open to public and media participation, aiming to bring attention and support to individuals and families affected by crime.
One key event is scheduled for next Monday in Wilmington. A Pinwheel Event, set to take place from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at The Harrelson Center, Plaza on Princess, has been organized as a symbol of honor and support for crime victims and their families. According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, the event will include a “message of hope and inspiration from caretakers in a child exploitation case” and is held in partnership with A Safe Place.
The following day, next Tuesday, the National Crime Victims’ Rights Ceremony is set to be held in Raleigh. Interested attendees are required to register for the event, which will run from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the North Carolina State Bar Association.
