WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) -Summery temperatures continue into the weekend as a toasty high pressure system remains in control over the Cape Fear. Highs for Saturday and Sunday will sizzle near 80 along the Coast, in the middle 80s for the Wilmington Metro, and near 90 for Inland zones. Make sure to stay hydrated!
Skies will stay mostly dry through Azalea Festival weekend with rain odds of 0% Saturday and 10% Sunday. A cold front paints more solid rain signals for Monday and Monday night; some thunder and soaking amounts appear possible. Following the front: dig your jacket back out for daily highs in the brisk 60s and nightly lows in the nippy 40s and possibly frosty 30s.
