WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – After another summery, dry day Sunday, be alert for a cold front to bring some big changes. Monday will have increasing rain with most spots netting 0.5 to 1.5 inches between the afternoon and night, a low severe storm risk, and variable winds gusting above 30 mph in any case. While temperatures ought to yet manage the upper 70s and lower 80s Monday, the front will introduce sharply cooler air with chillier lower 40s and locally frosty upper 30s remaining in your First Alert Forecast for Tuesday night and Wednesday night.
