DOGE to cut UNCW substance abuse recovery program

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The Department of Government Efficiency, or DOGE, is cutting funding for a program that aims to help students who are recovering from substance abuse at UNCW.

The university’s Collegiate Recovery Center, also known as CRC Hawk, helps students who are either recovering from substance abuse or those affected by another person’s addiction.
