BOILING SPRING LAKES, N.C. (WECT) – The Boiling Spring Lakes Police Department (BSLPD) is warning of a phone scam involving missed jury duty.
BSLPD says that if you receive a call from someone claiming to be an officer saying they missed jury duty or any court date, it is a scam.
“We will never call you and demand that you stay on the phone until we come to issue you a citation and will not ask you for any type of payment over the phone. If you do receive a call like this, please do not give out any of your personal or financial information!” BSLPD stated…
