ELON, North Carolina – UNCW’s Maggie Pertee launched a three-run home run and Madison Biddle fashioned three hits and drove in two runs as the Seahawks evened the Coastal Athletic Association softball series with a 5-4 win at Elon on Saturday at Hunt Softball Park.
The Seahawks (25-21, 11-12 CAA) scored all five runs with two outs to support Makayla Huddleston’s (13-8) 6.2 scoreless inning effort the Phoenix, who fell to 26-17 and 18-5 in the league.
