Protecting children during the dangerous heat

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – The extremely hot temperatures can leave some of the youngest members in the community at risk.

Summer is the time most children want to play outside. Toni Scollins, who works in the Trauma Services unit at Novant Health, says parents should do what they can to protect their children.
