NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The jury trial is underway for a man accused of stabbing and killing a teenager in 2023.
David Edward Hill, 63, is charged with second degree murder in the death of Dayston Ward, 18.
The stabbing happened outside of a Hardee’s on Castle Hayne Road. Ward was hospitalized in critical condition after being stabbed under his left arm, but he later died. Deputies say they found Hill on Old Bridge Site Road trying to wash blood off himself in the river…
