WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – Wrightsville Beach Ocean Rescue wants people to know that access to life-saving care is not far away, even when spending time by the water.
According to the American Red Cross, a person’s chance of survival after a cardiac arrest outside of the hospital decreases by 10% for every minute the use of an AED (Automated External Defibrillator) or CPR is delayed.
