‘A bit more alarming’: Concerns about Wilmington retention pond filled with trash

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – Alicia Saintsing-Vawter walks by the retention pond between Canterwood and Physician Drive almost every day – and it’s now dirtier than ever.

“There was a lot more trash accumulated, as well as debris,” said Saintsing-Vawter. “It was just a lot more concerning than usual.”
