PENDER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Pender County Animal Shelter reported this week that it had no open kennels after taking in more than 130 animals, nearly exceeding its capacity.
According to the shelter’s social media post, the facility brought in 132 animals — 40 dogs and 80 cats — despite being built to house only 100.
