BRUNSWICK COUNTY, N.C. (WECT) -The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) is warning the community about a romance scam targeting older adults in the county.
“One of our amazing BCSO volunteers recently received the text message shown in the photo below, along with photos of a very handsome man claiming to be a successful professional. The message even referenced the exact street where she lives,“ BCSO wrote in a Facebook post.
