A look inside New Hanover High School’s renovations as county leaders mull over future of building

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – With students and teachers preparing for the new school year, now just weeks away, New Hanover County’s oldest high school is preparing to show off its new look.

Over the last year, New Hanover High School, now over a century old, has undergone a roughly $8 million renovation project, focused on the main building. The project is on track to finish in time for the first day of school at the end of August, school officials told WECT.
