WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – The future of a proposed food co-op in Wilmington is uncertain after The Endowment withdrew its funding for the grocery store.
In a meeting on July 29, leaders of the Northside Food Co-Op discussed how to move forward after The Endowment canceled the $6 million grant meant to build the store on North 10th Street.
“Tonight we really wanted to talk about the funding cuts, but we also wanted to tell the community that we’re still here.
