Tropical Storm Dexter continues to move away from the United States and will weaken over the northern Atlantic by mid- to late week. Meanwhile we’ll continue with a concern for rip currents along parts of the coastline Tuesday, particularly along the Outer Banks.
Moisture continues to build back into our region and this will aid rain chances Tuesday. A few showers will be possible by mid- to late morning, but a more favorable chance for showers and a few storms moves in for the afternoon. Some locally heavy rain is possible for Wilmington and surrounding areas.
Daily rain chances will be in place through the end of the week. Downpours may lead to areas of flooding, which will be a growing concern especially by end week…
