WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – Vigilant Hope is holding a community meeting to discuss the Cape Fear Safe Parking Initiative.
The initiative is a collaborative community effort that would allow anyone experiencing homelessness to sleep safely in their vehicles overnight in church parking lots.
Vigilant Hope says at least 50 people are living in their vehicles in Wilmington, and most of them are experiencing homelessness for the first time…
