The North Carolina Department of Transportation has awarded a multimillion-dollar contract to complete the final segment of the Hampstead Bypass.
A $182 million contract has been awarded to S.T. Wooten Corp. to build about a 7-mile stretch of roadway that will connect and improve the flow of traffic between Pender and New Hanover counties, according to an NCDOT release.
