NC Man Charged With Throwing Plate At Server’s Head After Being Asked Not To Feed Dog From Table

A North Carolina brewery is facing backlash after its former owner was charged with allegedly hurling a porcelain plate at a LongHorn Steakhouse employee’s head last month.

The Wilmington Police Department said officers responded to a Longhorn Steakhouse restaurant on International Drive at around 2 p.m. on July 23 following a report of an attack that left an employee with a head laceration. Officers learned a customer had thrown a porcelain plate at the worker’s head, slicing open his scalp.

Investigation revealed that 49-year-old Gary Sholar had a dog with him at the restaurant and was feeding it from the table when the server informed him that was a health code violation, and offered to pack some food in a doggy bag…
