Sheriff’s Office seeks public’s help finding suspect involved in shooting near Cape Fear Memorial Bridge

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, N.C. (WECT) – Investigators in Brunswick County are asking the public for help identifying a suspect in a shooting that happened on Aug. 25.

According to the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO), the incident happened at the base of the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge as it enters Brunswick County around 7:30 p.m.

BCSO states that the two vehicles involved are:

  • A white Ford F-250
  • A smaller four-door sedan

“The suspect’s vehicle possibly took the Leland Exit onto Village Road following the incident,” stated BCSO in a press release. “Thankfully, no injuries were reported.”…
