WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – Following a cold front: enjoy a period of low rain chances, morning temperatures in the cool 60s, and afternoon readings in the pleasant 70s and 80s from Tuesday right through the rest of the week. Below normal temperatures stick around into Labor Day weekend but we will see a risk of some showers and storms. We don’t expect any washouts but your beach or pool plans could be interrupted.
Good news on the tropical weather front: Tropical Storm Fernand is weakening amid its nonthreatening track east of Bermuda, and new cyclone development appears unlikely anywhere in the Atlantic Basin for the next several days.
