BRUNSWICK COUNTY, N.C. (WECT) – A woman is facing new charges for causing a crash that injured a Brunswick County deputy.
According to a criminal summons, 40-year-old Elizabeth Long faces four misdemeanor charges and one felony charge related to the incident.
Long has been charged with:
- Felony, serious injury by vehicle
- Misdemeanor, Simple possession of Schedule VI controlled substance
- Misdemeanor Driving While Impaired
- Misdemeanor in possession of marijuana paraphernalia
- Misdemeanor in possession of drug paraphernalia
The summons states that Long was allegedly under the influence when she drove her Dodge Caravan across the center line on N.C. 130 and hit an unmarked BCSO vehicle that was traveling west head-on…
