BURGAW, NC (WWAY) — Pender County has officially acquired the 62-acre Abbey Nature Preserve, along with a 7.59-acre parcel, both generously donated by Mungo Homes.
Together, the 69.59 acres will expand public green space, support conservation, and enhance recreational opportunities in one of the county’s fastest-growing areas.
The 7.59-acre parcel located at 90 Heart Pine Avenue in Wilmington will serve as the primary entrance to Abbey Nature Preserve and the site of a future county park.
