WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – Your First Alert Forecast maintains mild temperatures through the rest of the holiday weekend with daily highs in the lower 80s and nightly lows in the 60s to around 70. With a front just south of the Cape Fear Region, modest rain chances are also part of the story: 20% through tonight, 20% Sunday, and 10% Labor Day. We should see more sunshine after some coastal showers Saturday afternoon. Still, plenty of dry time to get outside! The next best rain or storm chance is Wednesday night into Thursday.
The tropics are unusually tranquil for Labor Day time. New storm formation seems unlikely anywhere in the basin for many days. Be thankful for the respite and, here at peak season, keep your storm plan sharp with wect.com/hurricane.
