WILMINGTON, N.C. – Avery Markham and Olivia Heidel both posted double-doubles for UNCW, but the Seahawks came up short in a 3-1 loss to North Carolina Central on Saturday at the Hampton Inn and Suites Seahawk Classic.
With the loss, the Seahawks dropped to 0-3 while the Eagles improved to 1-2. UNCW won the opening set, 25-21, only to see NCCU rally with set-winning scores of 25-19, 25-18 and 25-17.
