14 recent restaurant, bar openings and closings in the Wilmington area

As the food scene continues to evolve in the Wilmington area, there’s a new wave of restaurant openings and closings from recent weeks. Local diners and food fans can now check out a long-awaited food truck park in downtown Wilmington’s Brooklyn Arts District, as well as a new food truck or two. There’s also a cool new brewery, a bakery that uses wholesome ingredients, and a new place serving up fresh and healthy bowls.

Also on this roundup are some other changes in local restaurants. Closings include a longtime buffet restaurant and two downtown bars.

Openings and re-openings

Chow Town: This food truck park with a bar and beer garden and space for six food trucks opened in early August at 1101 N. Fourth St. in the Brooklyn Arts District.

Gustu Peruano: The grand opening of Chow Town was also the launch of a food truck from Chef Mauricio Huarcaya, which offers his take on traditional Peruvian favorites.
