Traffic stop leads police to crack cocaine and heroin

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) -A Wilmington woman is in jail after a traffic stop led Wilmington police to seize cocaine, heroin and other drug paraphernalia.

The Wilmington Police Department (WPD) reported that just after 10:10 p.m. on Sept. 2, officers conducted a traffic stop near North 30th Street and Hurst Street after a vehicle did not dim its headlights.

Police found that the driver, 45-year-old Latonia Ramirez, had an outstanding warrant for her arrest. WPD added that the officers saw Ramirez holding three heroin bindles in her hand…
