CVS Pharmacy and Walgreens change requirements for COVID-19 vaccines

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – Changes by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) resulted in CVS and Walgreens Pharmacies in North Carolina now requiring a doctor’s prescription for anyone who does not meet these requirements.

The FDA recently said that adults 65 and older, and anyone older than six months of age with a high-risk health condition, qualify for a COVID-19 vaccine this year.
