WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – Crews will begin work that will temporarily close Red Cross Street between 2nd and 3rd streets.
According to the City of Wilmington, workers will remove asphalt along the street to restore the historic brick surface underneath.
“This isn’t the first time Red Cross Street has gotten the brick treatment — crews restored the stretch between 3rd and 7th streets in 2019, and the block from 7th Street to 8th Street just last year,” the City stated in a Facebook post…
