WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – Along and behind a passing cold front, shower and storm chances will vary from 60% Sunday to 10% Monday to 20% Tuesday, 30% Wednesday, 20% Thursday, and 10% Friday. After a spell of near-90-degree heat, expect daily high and and nightly low temperatures to breeze back to near 80 and the lower to middle 60s, respectively, in this frame.

In the tropics, a most unlikely development: odds for storm formation from disturbance Invest 91-L have crashed to near zero as the system battles dry air east of the Caribbean. Also refreshing for peak Hurricane Season: new storm development is not anticipated anywhere else in the Atlantic Basin early this week. The next 2025 storm name is Gabrielle.
Funny thing happens when the tropics play nice with the Cape Fear Region: the rainfall deficit balloons! Decent chance to put a little dent in that deficit Sunday… pic.twitter.com/ADiWNp2Kmk
