Body of missing Asheboro boy found, deputies confirm

ASHEBORO, N.C. (WBTV) – The body of 7-year-old Liam Alexander King was found by searchers days after he went missing in Asheboro.

King was reported missing on Sept. 7, in the area of Forest Hills Drive. According to Randolph County deputies, his body was found the morning of Sept. 9 in a pond near his last known location.

“This loss is truly heartbreaking. We ask everyone to please continue to keep Liam’s family in your thoughts and prayers,” the sheriff’s office wrote, in part, on social media…
