SOUTHPORT, N.C. (WECT) -The NC Department of Transportation (NCDOT) will now have the Southport-Fort Fisher ferry operate under new weight restrictions until further notice.
Any vehicles over 18 tons are not allowed on the ramp, including tractor-trailers, dump trucks, heavy machinery, fuel tankers and similar vehicles or equipment.
School buses, campers, trucks and trailers will not be restricted…
