WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The Wilmington Police Department arrested a man for arson and other charges on Thursday morning.
According to WPD, officers responded to a call around 2:50 a.m. regarding a suspicious subject attempting to gain entry into a residence on Colwell Avenue.
Police say when they arrived, an officer detected the smell of smoke and located Adrian Watkins, 31, attempting to open a back window of the residence. Watkins attempted to run away but fell and was quickly taken into custody…
