New Main Library in downtown Wilmington to open Oct. 6

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A new chapter for downtown Wilmington begins next week with the grand opening of New Hanover County’s new Main Library at 230 Grace Street, Suite A.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for Monday at 2 p.m., featuring remarks from county leaders, library staff, and members of the Grace District development team. Afterward, the public will be invited to tour the new state-of-the-art facility.

The celebration will focus solely on the Main Library, as construction continues on the Cape Fear Museum exhibitions that are part of the Grace District project. The full complex is expected to open this summer…
