Lifepoint Church is gearing up to start renovations on a building that formerly housed the YMCA’s Ogden Activity Center, after buying the property last month for $3.5 million.
The approximately 16,500-square-foot building at 7207 Ogden Business Lane will house the church’s Porters Neck campus, according to Daryl Strickland, Lifepoint’s executive pastor. Renovations will begin later this fall, and the church aims to move into the building by late next year.
The YMCA of Southeastern North Carolina had leased the building since 2020, according to Stacy Bennett, the local YMCA’s marketing and communications director.
