Volleyball Comes Up Short In Five Sets

WILMINGTON, N.C. – UNCW rallied with a win in the fourth set to force a fifth, but the Seahawks came up short in a 3-2 (25-21, 12-25, 17-25, 25-20, 6-15) loss on Friday in Coastal Athletic Association volleyball action at Hanover Hall.

The Camels upped their record to 11-5 on the season and 3-2 in the CAA while the Seahawks dropped to 3-13 and 2-5. Hannah Forbes paced UNCW with 13 kills and added eight digs. Meredith Keefer added nine kills and a pair of blocks.

Campbell’s Gwen Wolkow led all hitters with 24 kills, a career high, and 10 digs to round out the double-double effort. Maja Daca and Abbie Tuyo chipped in 12 and 10 kills, respectively, as the Camels combined to hit .347 for the match…
