New commercial flex space is in the works inside the proposed First Flight Business Park in northern New Hanover County.
New Hanover County’s Technical Review Committee reviewed plans for the nearly 21,000-square-foot commercial building earlier this month. The building would be the first planned for a roughly 40-acre tract, which is zoned for industrial development, near the intersection of Pennington Drive and Kitty Hawk Road.
According to site plans submitted to New Hanover County, the building would be used as a contractor’s office. The proposed project includes a 20,900-square-foot metal building on a concrete slab, along with an asphalt loading area, 19 parking spaces and an on-site stormwater pond.
