Columbus Regional Healthcare System planning to expand services with new Delco hospital

DELCO, N.C. (WECT) – The Columbus Regional Healthcare System (CRHS) has announced plans to build a new hospital campus in Delco.

According to the CRHS, a Certificate of Need application has been submitted for the new hospital, which will be named Columbus Regional East.

Columbus Regional East is planned to be a 30-bed acute care hospital, including:

  • State-of-the-art operating room
  • 24/7 emergency department
  • Advanced imaging services
  • Expert oncology care
  • 11 emergency treatment rooms
  • Medical-surgical beds
  • Diagnostic imaging services
