More substantial odds for rain will return with a trough of low pressure next week; this trough is also likely to slingshot Tropical Storm Melissa from the Caribbean into the Atlantic in a few days. Melissa is unlikely to bring direct impacts to the Southeast U.S., aside from heavy surf & rip currents. in any case, your First Alert Weather Team will monitor it every step of the way.
