WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) Good news for your plans, as the weekend features more crisp days with high temperatures near or just short of the 70 degrees mark and clear, chilly nights with lows in the 40s.
Be careful with open flame! Ongoing drought, along with low relative humidity and dry breezes, could allow for fire to spread. Some communities have burn bans in place, so make sure safety is top of mind.
Near zero chances are expected to hold for the weekend, but clouds will build Sunday as a low pressure system approaches the region.
Rain returns early next week
By early next week, a couple waves of showers will roll across the region. Odds will remain elevated for much of that time with potentially gusty conditions expected Monday through Wednesday. Minor coastal flooding and some beach erosion is possible though it won’t be nearly as extensive as with the nor’easter two weekends ago. Conditions should clear by Thursday and Halloween Friday…
