WILMINGTON, N.C. – The Wildcats took their last swings of the year, wrapping up the fall schedule with the final round at The Landfall Tradition at Landfall Country Club in Wilmington, North Carolin, on Sunday.
Earning an 8-over in its final 18 holes, the University of Kentucky women’s golf team assembled a 15-over-par 879 tournament total for ninth place out of 18 teams. The teams that finished one through 11 were all teams that are ranked in the top 45 in the latest Scoreboard rankings, including UK’s recent listing at No. 28.
The Wildcats still finished ahead of some of the top teams in the nation, including No. 18 Kent State, No. 33 NC State, No. 36 Virginia Tech and No. 40 Illinois, while they also topped hosts UNCW, Alabama, Notre Dame, Furman and Maryland…
