CHARLESTON, S.C. – Sophomore Marnie Ursem gave UNCW a career-high nine kills, but the Seahawks were unable to avert a sweep (21-25, 16-25, 22-25) on Saturday at the College of Charleston.
The Cougars, who won their 10th straight against the Seahawks, improved to 15-7 overall and 9-3 in the Coastal Athletic Association. UNCW dropped to 3-17 and 2-8. Ursem added three assists and four blocks whileOlivia Heidel fashioned a double-double of 17 assists and a team-high 14 digs.
