DMV wait times drop from 2 hours to 90 minutes, officials report progress to lawmakers

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – DMV officials gave lawmakers a status report on how the department is performing at the statehouse Wednesday.

DMV Commissioner Paul Tine said average customer wait times have been cut more than 30% over the last few months. Wait times were at two hours back in the summer and are now down to 90 minutes.
